Hey, im building my first ever PC, exciting! Anyway I need a gpu that's 250 dollars or less. I will be playing the newest fps games like Bf4 and csgo(I know u need low requirements). I want a gpu that is fast, and can get newest fps games at 1080p ~60 fps, could go less don't rly care. I've been looking at gtx 960(4gb/2gb) and the gtx 760. I'll take any gpu other than those that delivers approximate performance.

CPU: i5 4690k(for oc)

MOBO: Asus Z97-A

If you need more specs ill give u more just tell me. Thx for helping.

Why just Nvidia? AMD is the best for price to preformance, if you look around you can prob get a R9 290x for $250 and a R9 290x = GTX 970

PC is alive again! :System: CPU:Intel i5 4960k/ Motherboard:ASUS Gryphon Z97/ RAM: Kingston 16GB/ GPU: ASUS R9 Fury X/ Storage: 120gb Crucial SSD, 2TB Seagate SSHD/ PSU: Cooler Master 700w/ Displays: 1 Acer B276HK ymjdprz 27-inch 4K Ultra HD/1 ASUS 21.5 LCD LED 21.5 monitor

I might overclock my gpu, and ive heard they overheat more than Nvidia's gpus. Also Nvidia offers more features and better drivers. I wont have water cooling just air cooling.

They don't overheat, they do give out more heat, and I've had AMD cards and the drivers aren't as bad as people say they are.

Radeon 280x, it performs slightly better than the GTX 960 and costs about the same. Don't worry, it doesn't overheat and the drivers are fine, those are just false statements from fanboys. Unless if you need nvidia specific features the 280x will be fine.

Well ya, I like the features Nvidia has more than AMD. None of AMD's feature really attract me but ive found Nvidia's quite nice.

R9 380 or GTX 960 are perfect choices for around $250. If I were you I would buy MSi's Twin Frozr variant of those cards simply because the cooler is baller and performs really well. Also, if you can stretch your budget a little bit further a GTX 970 or R9 390 are sweet choices aswell.

I would love a 970 but ill barely get a 960 probably.
