M.2 SSD Recycle

Go to solution Solved by dalekphalm,

So I have a Dead Macbook Pro Retina 2014 . I think It has a 256 GB M.2 SSD in it . If I try to use it on my ASUS Z97-Pro Gamer would It work ???

Need some suggestions

Assuming it actually is an M.2 SSD without any proprietary Apple crap on it, then yes, it should work.

I would take apart the Macbook, extract the SSD, and check the Model Number of it.

Doesn't hurt to try plugging it into your Z97 board either.
