Minimum for Witcher 3 ? pls help

Go to solution Solved by werto165,

Well, I mentioned both the lowest quailty (because it only needs a cheaper card) and the 60 fps but that I want it in 1080p didn't. So there is that.

It appears I can't read xD. I'm really not too sure then, most benchmarks don't give low numbers, but even with a 660ti everything on low I couldn't acheive 60FPS constant it would drop to like 35FPS once in a while. If it was me I would either go 960 or perhaps something on the amd side that's the same, something like a 380 maybe?

What is the cheapest GPU that can run Witcher 3 on lowest settings but at least somewhat stable 60fps

I have an Asus 7770 but it has trouble keeping 20 fps on lowest settings xD

Thanks for the answers!!

Ps.: I want the least expensive because i don't play games anymore and don't want to invest much money in it.

Im pretty sure a 660 would run it.. but not amazingly well but if you're going to buy something you may as well buy a 760..

What frame rate do you want, do you want 60FPS or 30FPS constant with vsync? What sort of settings do you want to play at and what resolution too?

Personally I have a 660ti and I run the game at 1080p with settings mostly on medium with AA and most of the post processing off. I get around 50FPS anything lower than 40FPS feels kinda sluggish but it's not too bad in the cut scenes.

Have you tried catalyst 15.7 drivers?

Yep. Have it. Doesn't help.

I don't really have a budget, I will get the money that it takes, but i really don't want to spend much money on it. Let's say my budget is equal to the answer to my question: least expensive card to run W3 in 1080p on lowest settings (somewhat stable) 60fps.

Thank you very much, it actually solved my problem, I think I will get either a 960 or a 280 (r9 280 obviously), I will have to look for a better offer.
