A friend of mine has that same configuration and he doesn't get any big bottlenecks with games when the g3258 is overclocked. Of course you will not unlock the full potential of the card but I think it might not be a bad choice especially if you plan to upgrade the processor in the future.

Hi guys just wanted to ask: Will a g3258 pentium bottleneck a R9 270X(asus model) I was planning on buying that cpu and hold out until I get a core i5 4460

Save up a bit more like $50 - $75 and get an I3 and a r9 280
