questions about audio jacks

so im planning on getting the hyperx cloud 2 headset, but it has a 3.5mm audio jack that has the mic jack built in. my question is can u still use the mic when its plugged in to the rear audio jack of my mobo or only the front panel audio jack ?

The front panel audio jack is routed from your mobo with the included PC case wires.

Using the front or rear jack shouldn't make any difference

You can use either, but you'll need one of these to split the mic and the headphones to plug them in their own jack:

If you want to use the mic, Yes.

eh fuck it ill get the 2`s and buy the adapter

edit: its going to cost me about 120$ with tax and shipping for the cloud 2 and the cheapest adapter i could find for 3$,

good cause i just found the cheapest one i could find on amazon and put it in my cart
