If I am not the only person having this issue, then it's likely not a problem on my end right?
Has anyone else had this issue?

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/gpu-z-test-build-fix-system-hang-when-playing-video-on-hawaii-gpu.204184/

It's Hawaii/Bonaire gpu related, and happens if you open it during video playback.

edit

you don't have a Hawaii or Bonaire gpu...hmm...try the file anyway tho

Never had that problem on my 7970. Weird.

Like I said, I've only had this happen twice and both under the same circumstances. Open up GPU-Z.

I did when I opened gpuz with vlc open

I had facebook, LTT and skype open the 2nd time.

Homeworld 2 open the first time.

Was inspecting my GPU usage since I was getting spikes (likely due to windows since it was doing something) of usage causing slightly higher temps. I opened up furmark, opened the inbuilt GPU-Z, closed furmark and froze.

latest reply was sep 2014 <.<

Not that long ago actually. And that was only 1 of the results I got. I'm inclined to believe GPU-Z is at fault rather than me having broken my GPU by running furmark.

Furmark didn't break your gpu. -______- if it was broken you wouldn't be on your browser replying to this thread. It wouldn't even power on.

Lynch? What. I'm not even mad. Just saying its better to ask the people that develop the software if you can't fix the problem from this forum.

-snip disturbing pic-

Oh, okay. For some reason I thought you were getting pissed at me.

I actually don't give a rat's ass about GPU-Z and whether it works or not. If my PC works, then i don't care if that software works. It was simply intalled and I use it every now again to check usage. It was probably the OS using it for some reason.
