Ram speeds?

Go to solution Solved by theereal,

I know this has probably been asked many times, and will probably be asked many times again, but I need a quick answer.

My friend is coming over to stay for a few months and he will bring his gpu to put in an old computer I have. It has an i7 860 and 6gb of ram. We are thinking about him bringing more ram too but on the Intel ark page for the CPU it says "Memory Types: DDR3 1066/1333.

Will higher speed DDR3 work fine?

Thanks!

No problem at all, it will simply run at 1333mhz instead of the actual speed of the ram stick, just make sure you are using DDR3 ram :)

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.
