Apple Updated the iPod Touch (Finally)

handymanshandle

For starters there were some earlier post about the line up for the the iPod Touch 6th gen.

Today (15, July 2015) Apple silently updated iPod Touch to include some fairly decent specs,

The iPod Touch now has an A8 and M7 just like the iPhone 6 and a better camera (8 megapixels).

Unfortunately it does not have Touch ID and it doesn't seem to have NFC for Apple Pay.

The iPod Touch is still 4" sadly, though there are new capacities now... 16GB all the way up to 128GB.

Personally I think that this is pretty cool that Apple refreshed the iPod Touch, it's just a shame they left out quite a few things that would have been nice to have if they're going to ignore it again.

Actually if I had the money I'd consider getting the gold one in 32GB because my current phone only has 8GB and the battery doesn't last that long. (Moto G 2014, which right now needs some help, because of reasons.)

The new colors can be found here:

Well mods you know what to do.

I'm sure the ipod won't have that great of a battery life either.. just like pretty much all newer apple products..

if it has the same 1000 mAh as the ipod 5 that used a lower power chip, it wont make it through the school day unless you only use twitter for 20 min at lowest brightness

i will say the same thing, i think that a budget phone makes more sense as it not only will have the same functionality, but will also likely have more storage or micro sd, a nicer, HIGHER RESOLUTION screen (i get you dont need 4k on a phone but seriously not even 720p, dick move apple) and when the kid that owns this reaches age 10 (yeah its sad that is the age you get a phone now days) you dont have to go buy a new phone, you can just pop in a sim card
