Would this bottleneck a 980ti?

SlaughterSmurf

So I have a PC, and the specs are

  • CPU
    i5 3570k @4.2ghz
  • Motherboard
    MSI Z77 G43
  • RAM
    16gb Kingston HyperX Blue/Black
  • GPU
    EVGA 780 Ti ACX
  • Case
    Fractal Design Define R4
  • Storage
    128gb Samsung 840 + 1tb Caviar Blue
  • PSU
750W  80+ Bronze Corsair Builder Series
  • Cooling
    Noctua NH-D15
So my question is, if I swapped out the 780ti for a 980ti, would I be bottlenecked by anything in the system at 1440p?

No, you'll be fine switching to a 980Ti.

i5 4690k | GTX 980Ti G1 Gaming | 16GB RAM | MSI Z97 Gaming 7 | NZXT Kraken X61 | 850 EVO 250GB x2  | 1TB 850 Evo NZXT Noctis 450 | EVGA 750W 80+ Gold

 Ducky Shine 3 TKL (Browns) | LG 34UC87C | Logitech MX Master ATH-M50x's + DT990 Pro's

When you pair it with and AMD FX CPU :D

Surprisingly, my upgrade to a 4790K from a 8120 didn't really affect frame rates at all.

Also, OP, your CPU won't bottleneck the 980 Ti.
