Hi, today while on my computer my display turned off. First instinct was gpu overheat but my temperature was only 67 c before display turned off. I then suspected my Psu, but it seems to be working fine, no major signs that is is failing. I then suspected a cable problem, when I touched my monitor, it was VERY HOT. Then it hit me, could my monitor be over heating? I've never cleaned it and I have been using it for over 7 years. It is a Hp w2207h. Any help would be appreciated =)

Yes they can overheat and it could have caused your issue, they shouldn't be hot to the touch, 1st thing you should try is cleaning out any dust, hopefully that makes it run cooler, even if it isn't as cool as it was 7 years ago aha
