SSD detection problems

Hello My motherboard (MSI 970A-G46 SLI) doesnt detect My ssd (ADATA SX900 256GB) it says"reboot and select proper boot device or insert Boot media in selected boot device".

What should i do?

Have you put it as the default boot drive in your bios?

You must set it as the boot drive in the BIOS first, assuming the SSD is functional.

Yes, sometimes it Boots and sometimes not :/

On startup go into the boot menu and see if its there. If you are installing windows or linux afresh select the DVD or USB drive you have it on. (Normally F12)

What do you mean it sometimes boots? Are you saying the SSD is detected some times and not at other times? If that is the case, try using another 6Gbp/s port.

Its fully functional, how do i set it as the default boot drive?

There should be something in the BIOS about boot priority. I have never used MSI's BIOS before, so you'll either have to play around with it, or wait for someone to help you with the BIOS.

If I remember correctly there should be a boot options menu in msi's bios which is reasonably easy to find.
