For some reason it installed the Windows 8.1 Nvidia drivers, and I had this weird issue with my cursor, but I got it straightened out. No bugs, smooth as butter. Idk what you guys are talking about when you say you want to 'wait'. I think it's an excuse because you're too lazy. Or you don't want to be an Insider.

The Windows 8.1 drivers may be what Microsoft has deemed to be most compatible with W10. Yes, there are Windows 10 drivers available, but Microsoft may not like them or didn't put it into Windows Update yet.

Lol i was an insider that installed it since so long around since the first tech preview... made it my daily driver in january, drivers sucked, games crashed at times and then it would just Hang and freeze. it was a lot worse a few months ago. Windows is close to launch.

It's not an excuse because we're too lazy... if we were lazy we wouldn't have used it. I've used it and i know why I switched back for my computer. This is right before launch of course it's going to be better.

That's not the case with me. I had a weird cursor issue where it stretched my cursor vertically. Plus when I opened GeForce Experience it wanted me to install the Windows 10 drivers, so I did, and it fixed the cursor issue. Everything else has been fine as well.

Well yes, but a lot of people don't want to switch right this second because they say it's still full of bugs.

byalexandr,

The primary reason to wait is a common practice from the IT industry.   Program compatibility, system bugs, massive zero-day exploits all traditionally happen in the first few months of any OS release.  This is also a first for Microsoft having such a large and open beta which may help alleviate those issues, but I'm sure they will happen just like with any OS release and taking the time to ensure stability especially for a system that may be the income producer for a lot of individuals is not a bad thing.

Hope this helps.

Edit:

I've included some links to past OS releases.  It may be being overly cautious for Windows 10 but history seems to repeat quite regularly.

Definitely going to have program compatibility issues, just as I mentioned. I don't know about bugs, as it's running butter smooth for me, but a lot of other people with a large variety of devices will be using it. Can't tell or not if it's going to have launch day exploits, but we can only wait and tell. I definitely do not regret helping beta test, though. This software is excellent and Microsoft has been trying their best.
