Windows 8.1 Splash Screen

You know the splash you get when you boot your pc with the time, network connectivity and other stuff with a picture, is there any way to disable this?

You mean the lock screen?

 

To disable it:

Open the registry editor (Start > type: regedit > select it)

In the registry editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization

In side you'll find: NoLockScreen entry on the main pane. Double click on it, and set it's value to 1.

 

Restart your system, and you should be good to go
