if your buying from amd sapphire is the way to go for nvidia there isn't really "best" manufacturer

do your research if buying from nvidia most of the time evga is great but sometimes asus, gigabyte, msi or galax come out beter

personally i would go for the r9 390 because i like texures,AA,supersampeling and run a high resolution

Would the 390x be better or is it just not worth it.

GO for a 980 ti or a fury x if you have the money cause most of the other cards are gonna bottleneck

I don't have the money :/ Their 1000 dollars here in Vancouver so I don't think I'm gonna upgrade to that. If I am I would go for the fury z as it is water cooled and features high bandwidth memory :D

So your saying it is basically a rebrand with a higher base clock speed and a little bit more of other stuff for an extra 100+ dollars? I think the 390 is good enough for me and will last me a good few years. :)

Even so you can get the 970 cheaper can't you? Or, am I wrong? It's fine if I'm wrong. xD

They are the same price here but they mentioned how it only has 3.5 gigs of memory instead of 4

It is 4, but it is split and the other parts of it is slow.  There's the fast 3.5, and then there is the slow .5.

yup but it isn't really major since your not going to use that much vram at 1080p :P

The 8 gigs of ram will be pretty future proof but my one concern is about hbm. If all the future products convert to hbm then gddr5 will be almost obsolete by the time hbm2 or something comes out

I usually play some casual games like lol or csgo but when I'm alone I play fc4, bf4 and other new games on steam and origin.

Prices are so bipolar, so ya...

That's true.

Well, with engines like the IDTech 6...the more the better.  xD

i would take a very long time untill GDDR5 will become obsolete
