That's what they go for usually.

At $800 it's basically unmatched in price/performance tho.

Anyone saying "get a 980 ti", 980 SLI shits all over a 980 ti.

Assuming SLI functions properly.

The issu I have is I purchased a define S assuming I was going to water cool my next build but my budget ran dry an so im stuck with this massive case and nothing to put in it

a single 980ti would look bare in the case unless I got the hybrid model but I want to get the system together im tired of waiting  my other option is a fury x but again i would have to wait.

Assuming SLI functions properly.

Of the 2 SLI setups I've had in the past 2 years, I've almost never ran into any problems that weren't solved with changing drivers. Never had any issues with scaling, never had any issues with stuttering. Only occasional problems where certain drivers wouldn't let me play certain games. That may not even have been related to SLI.

Not to mention 90% of the time if a game doesn't support SLI, it's usually ancient and doesn't really need it to run properly.

Good point, my personal opinion would be pick up 2 980's since there is nothing that matches it in the 800$ department.  You may be able to pick up a pair for maybe $775 or so if you look hard enough.

I don't think the average user wants to change drivers just to get their SLI setup to work unless it's a specific bug that can be fixed by updating drivers.

The only issues I had were mostly beta drivers, but I have issues with them on single card setups too, so it's probably just buggy beta driver problems.

That's a steal. The only thing that might be a bit cheaper is 780Ti SLI, but that still isn't as fast as 980 SLI.
