Ever since Linus uploaded his video about the Richland processors I started doing some brief research about AMD CPU/APUs...

So I was doing some research on the A8-5600K and needed some clarification on its built-in GPU. According to this site it will only achieve max gpu memory clock speed if the RAM being used is a 1866MHz memory clock speed. http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/?gid=1073&graphics=Radeon%20HD%207560D

What if the RAM sticks I used were these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231253 How much gpu memory clock speed would I lose/be running at, averaging?

Also this is the motherboard I'm testing it with as an example http://www.msi.com/product/mb/FM2-A75MA-E35.html

Would there be a huge/significant performance increase if I "crossfire" it with a 6670? (Assuming there would be, hopefully...)

In your case i agree with the guy above. Get a fx43** or a fx63**. An apu will indirectly cost you more money as you have to upgrade ram as well. Then you have to get a decent board which handles xmp which not everything does handle.

I agree. Getting a FX6300 with something like a GTX 660 or HD 7790 will last you way longer and will give you a better gaming experience. APUs are only really for those who want a gaming PC ASAP.

Eww 660. Get a 7850 that outperforms it for cheaper :P

I see thank you for the info! I was also looking some details about my current CPU and noticed the memory types http://ark.intel.com/products/68316/ are 1333 and 1600. However my mobo supports upto 2200 http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4090#ov, does that mean I won't be able to use a 1866 memory type?
