I do a lot of colour work and just ended up finding it annoying, it was nice to have when reading reddit etc. at 3am though! I found it's more of a brightness thing than a blue light and the ability to dim your screen is useful.

Just wish I didn't need to have colour accuracy, it'd be installed right now otherwise!

I'm trying it on a rmbp (which adjusts brightness automatically without f.lux). I don't do any color accuracy work... I will try it a few days and see what happens..

Sold my build..

It works really well for me, and I don't notice the shift, I have the setting really low though, so it isn't as much of an extreme, I turn it off whenever I'm working with colours at night though

I used it, but it was annoying when I'd look away since my walls are white... And when doing stuff like editing photos or watching videos and playing games it kind of started getting in the way for me. I'd recommend it if your eyes are really prone to bugging you with using your computer though. Always worth a shot trying it if it's free right?

Flux isn't a replacement for actual computer glasses, but it can work like a cheap set of them.

Eventually you do block out the tint, much like with sunglasses; but it may be a good idea to make your transition more yellow during night time. Flux also flickers if you have any programmes that go genuinely full-screen - I believe it ignores border-less - bit this only happens whenever you enter or exit (ALT+TAB, Software Close) the program.
