How is the sound leakage on these? I know its open backed, so there will be quite a bit. I will be listening on higher volume. Are there replacement cables? I dont have a use for the bigger one, and the adapter seems like it would be very annoying.

Also, how do these sound on a phone? Im kinda worried about the 50 ohms.

Thanks

Yeah there are tons of shorter replacement cables available, most of them custom. The leakage is as you'd expect with an open back.

The Ohm rating sometimes is misleading - but you can run these just fine on your phone to a reasonable volume. They won't get too loud, but that depends on your phone's jack rather then the headphones.

Depends on use and musical taste. The 598s have the best vocals I've ever heard (granted I have not heard super high end setups), and their all around sound signature is very relaxed and pleasing. The AD700X's have super wide soundstage, maybe even a bit unrealistic for music.

If you're strictly gaming on them, then go with 700X's. If you think you might become an audiophile, (which you might after hearing 598's) then look into those. Do lots of research on sound, however if you think that's what might happen.
