Fresh install of Windows 7 requires re-activation?

I would like to do a fresh install on my system, will I have to re-activate Windows, and will there be any issues with re-activation?

 

The OS is Windows 7, and I won't be changing any of the hardware.

Yes. You will need to re-activate it. And no, it should activate just as the same as before.

There is an option from within the control panel to reinstall windows fresh without needing reactivation :)

Control Panel>Search Recovery>Click on it>Advanced Recovery Methods>Reinstall Windows. That might be what he's referring to.
