Hey guys, i wanted to use a windows 7 Laptop HDD from a gateway laptop to my pc for the OS. Whenever I put it in there and turn it on, the system doesnt boot up. But when i used my laptop that I am currently using with windows 8.1, I boots up perfectly (Laptop right now is a Inspiron 5735). Can you guys help and give some tips? I jsut want windows 7 then once windows 10 comes out i'll transfer it onto an ssd in the computer. Please help and thanks for it!

ur system dosent need a HDD to boot up to a bios. the bios is installed on the motherboard

Ok, but whenever i put the HDD in it doesnt boot up. Nothing turns on. So if i were to going to do that i would have to remove the HDD and then i wouldn't be able to select it in the bios
