Cheap - MSI z97 Gaming 3/ Gigabyte Krait

 

Sweetspot - Msi Z97 Gaming 5 or 7/ Asus z97-a

 

Expencive: Asus z97 ws

 

Personally i have the z97 gaming 5 and its excellent overclocks well has support for sli and is all around excellent

Mate that a bull leg black and yellow motherboard are heckla expensive. what chipset should i pick for this cpu? just askin?

for 4460 H81 or B85 is good enough.

Also motherboard don't affect performance, so even if you plan to upgrade CPU later don't spend too much, get the cheapest one with all the features you need. 

This is one of the cheapest Z97 MBOs and should be good enough for 99% of people http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97mxgaming5

MSI gaming 3/5/7 are also great MBOs and they are also red :) compare their features and decide which one is best for you :)
