Help Fraps! 250fps-10fps

Hey i have been having this problem for months now really bugging me i am trying to record cod 4 i get 250fps no mistake definate then when i start recording i get 10fps WTF!

You sure FRAPS is recording at the FPS you want it to record at? Also, recording is intensive. It's writing massive files to your hard drive.

Make sure it's not set to cap it at 10fps while recording.

Yep i know that i am having the same result with other software like dxtory and bandicam

Look into MSI Afterburner or Dxtory. They don't eat nearly as much of your FPS as Fraps do. That said, I think you'll have a hard time recording 1080p on your system.

Seriously, your pc isn't powerful enough. You hard drive is to slow. You graphics card is to slow. Your using windows 8...

I'm so sorry but it look as if you're going to perish in the next 24 hours, the only way to end this curse is if you find a way to make Fraps work properly. Good luck.

Its probably set to 10fps to save file size.

Make sure the HDD you are recording too has a reasonable Trasfer speed. Read and Write RW. Make sure you have not locked the fram rate. 

Otherwise. TIME FOR A NEW PC!

My guess would be that you're trying to write the recorded data to a drive which can't handle the transfer speeds. You're not using the external USB2 drive to write onto, are you? That'll be the problem if you are.
