(sorry for bad english)

I just built a new pc 3 days ago and i didnt know about this forum :(

i want to ask if my system is ok for gaming games like witcher 3

are there any bottlenecks or is it running too hot?

I got:

Motherboard: Gigabyte X99-UD4

CPU: i7 5820k 3.3 GHz

RAM: 16GB 4x4 G.Skill Ripjaw 4 2400

GPU: gigabyte gtx 980

HDD/SSD: seagate 2T HDD / samsung 850 evo 250GB

Power: BeQuiet 600W straight power 80+ gold

CPU cooler: LC-CC-120-x3 Cosmo cool

im running about 40-45°C idle and i dont know jet hoch much under load because i had not much time to install stuff

Its not bad for gaming at all, but is it just for gaming? Try taking off the cooler and replacing the thermal paste and putting it back on. Sounds like it just didnt get placed right.

40-45 C is great on idle!!

A system like that will most likely be up to date for a while depending on what you do.

can i take of the thermalstuff without that alcohol linus is using all the time?

Yes. That's perfectly fine. The substance you're referring to is isopropyl alcohol.

Idle temps don't mean shit unless it's crazy hot (60C+). Load temps are what matter.

and how hot should it maximaly get under load?

I'm no expert, but judging just by the size of the cooler, maybe 60s to 70s.

It should be below 80 degrees if you have a decent CPU cooler. And you can indeed remove the thermal compound without alcohol but it's not as good as doing it with. Just make sure every little bit is off before applying the new compound.

after 1 hour of playing witcher on max settings i got up to max 62°C so am i still in "the green area"?

Those are great temps, you haven't got anything to worry about and that system is a beast, and should be able to max out most games for quite some time yet.

I would do some cable management though and tidy up the nest of cables in the bottom of your system, but that's up to you, if you don't feel like doing it then just enjoy it as is, but if you want something you can really be proud of, then tidy up the cables as best you can and make it look as awesome as it is :)
