http://www.howtogeek.com/142044/how-to-turn-a-raspberry-pi-into-an-always-on-bittorrent-box/

I have followed this guide, however I have managed to only download one torrent. I have my directory set up so that it will download to my NAS, I am also currently using the Pi as a Plex Server, and it has read/write access to the NAS.

Please tell me what is wrong, this is how it is in FSTAB:

//192.168.1.1/james/JMicron-152DFFFF_usb1_2/NAS /home/pi/NAS cifs  username=james,password=james977,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm  0  0

And, you're not using this for the download of illegal, or otherwise copyrighted works, correct? Because if you are, you're breaking CoC by asking for help with the problem, just as any of us are breaking CoC by helping you if that's the case. Please don't lie about it. If it is, you'll just have to ask somewhere else.

No, I have attached a screenshot of what I am downloading, which is Linux. I would be using it to download FREE large files, such as new Linux distributions.

Alright. We've just had some, instances over the last week or two especially of people coming on attempting to route past p2p blocking, and the like to download illegal files.

These instructions always worked for me in the same scenario. http://geeks.noeit.com/mount-an-smb-network-drive-on-raspberry-pi/

Is your NAS really located at 192.168.1.1?

CPU: i5 4670k • Cooler: Corsair H100i • Motherboard: MSI Z87 MPOWER • RAM: Crucial Ballistix Elite 2x 8GB • Storage: Samsung 840 250GB SSD, 2x WD Red 3TB • GPU: EVGA GTX 780 3GB • PSU: Corsair RM750W • Case: Corsair 750D • Mouse: Razer Naga 2012 (I actually use the thing for productivity/media buttons) • Keyboard: Ducky Shine 3 w/ Browns - Green LED • Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27" 2560 x 1440, ASUS PB238Q 23" 1920x1080 • Lighting: 2m NZXT Sleeved Blue LED Strip • pcpartpicker.com/p/3cHfZ

Will this affect my Plex Server? as that is reading the NAS okay

Everything in that guide is on the client side (raspberry pi). It's just the process of installing the cifs package and connecting to an existing share (assuming it's been set up properly). Is the plex server component running on your Pi as well?

Yes, the server is on the Pi. It's really good, and works well and very fast.

Then yes it might affect your plex server by moving the mount point for the network share, assuming you've already added media to your plex server. It just a simple matter of changing the local mount location in fstab to whatever the plex server is used to.

e.g: //SERVERIP/mount    /CHANGE/THIS/TO/WHAT/PLEX/WANTS     cifs [etc, etc etc.....]

mount error(13): Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

I have followed that guide, and now I get this error

I found another post with something you could try. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=60699

it's adding a 'sec=none' argument to the command (which seems like a bad idea to me). If it works, well there you go. You could also try specifying your credentials in a file, rather than in the command.

Still not working :( it sometimes works on the root of the NAS, and not in a folder :/

Usually that means that Bittorrent doesn't have write permissions to the file location in question. Check the owner and permissions on your mount point. You may have to either add the Bittorrent user to appropriate groups or mount the share as a different user.
