The switches are all plugged in fine every plug is in their right place i click the button and still nothing. I have gone to the bare minimum my pc needs to run like 1 stick ram and the cpu and the power button still doesnt work. What do i do.

Try getting a screwdriver and shorting the two power pins

Just tried that and still no luck.

huh. Make sure that the PSU button on the back is on and the plug socket that you're using. I'm not saying that you're retarded or anything, it's just problems like this are often something small. If they are on, then try doing the 24 pin paper clip method (google it if you don't know what it is) to check that the PSU is fine

Try going to absolute basics.  No fans, No hard drive, just 1 Stick of ram, and the 4 pin cpu to see if it posts. If you have a dedicated card, try using the onboard mobo graphics.

Did you have an antistatic strap, or ground yourself before opening it up?  Is the motherboard fastened properly with no extra standouts making contact where they shouldn't?

Also, make sure to follow your topic in the top right corner of the screen to make sure you see replies.
