Hello

What is the best Thermal paste to put onto the CPU for a closed loop water cooler at the moment. If money was not a problem with it.

I was recommended this Thermalright Chill Factor 3, if this the best Thermal Paste at the moment.

Thanks

Mx-4 or ICdiamond are pretty much the best.

Edit: Thermalright chill factor 3 seems really good too. Just looked it up

Personally I prefer Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra.

This product is great, but comes with a lot of caveats. Like using it between the heatsink and IHS causes them to almost glue together and you have to lap both surfaces after removing it. And the fact it's highly conductive, so any spillage could result in bricking the PC.

The stuff is 38.4 w/mk, whilst most "mx-4" type materials are 8-9 w/mk. So it's extremely good, but only recommended for people who know what they're doing.

That as always been a pain, but it's always given me such amazing results I just stuck with it. As for the latter, that's never been known to me.

I only used it between the LID and the DIE for my Haswell Delid. Between those surfaces, it stays liquid.

So it seems that there is no, one best Thermal paste, everyone just has an opinion on it.

I've never done that before, and doubt I ever will since my next build is going to be Devils Canyon. I would love to invest in a 4770K in a few years to see what delidding is like.

Is the Gelid GC-Extreme best for longevity as well because I have seen some Thermal Paste just dry up after 3 months
