So my trusty Logitech G500s is dying after a year and a half of good memories.

  • Cursor feels erratic - momentarily won't respond often.
  • Double-clicks by itself
  • Cursor momentarily stops and resumes tracking by split-second - and it's becoming irritating. I miss shots, I miss spells... Sometimes it will stop tracking for more than a second, will move only after when I lift the mouse up.

I looked for fixes online, and while I'm willing to do them, (including disassembly and correcting/reshaping the bronze pins and whatnot) I'd rather have a replacement mouse at ready, just in case something goes wrong. And honestly, you'd think you don't have to do these when paying premium for gaming mice. I've had this mouse for only 1 and a half year, and unfortunately replacing it through the distributor/RMA'ing the mouse is no longer an option, since the receipt and the box were lost (partly my fault, I guess).

Any recommendations for a good replacement? I would like a mouse that sports these:

  • Palm-to-finger-tip-grip-optimized

  • Better mouse switches (ones that don't double-click on their own after a certain period of time)

  • Preferably no braided cables (but if there is, should be better than Logitech's implementation)

  • I'm kinda accustomed to the free-scroll function of the G500, so a mouse with that function is a bonus also.

Right now I'm looking at Zowie mice, Logitech G502 (though I'm a bit wary about Logitech now since their mice seem to die after a year or so of use), Mionix Naos 7000, Corsair M45, and a Razer Deathadder perhaps? Basically, what would you guys recommend for a replacement? Any help would be appreciated! :)

They ask for receipts now? I replaced my g500 3 times when I had it.The last time was even out of warranty. Did you call them?Logitech has the best warranty service ever imo. I've never had to produce a receipt. Must have changed there policies ..I'll have to look into this.. Id go with the Zowie ZA series or Steelseries rival.

The distributor of Logitech products for my country (Philippines) have it in their policy - no receipt and box - no replacement. But you sir, gave me a tiny sliver of hope. Is there anyway I can contact Logitech directly?

It seems they did change it in the policies here also. Doesn't say anything about a box tho just proof of purchase.Sad. But just call anyways. Never hurts to try.Check the Logitech website for warranty claim contact number.
