$7000 PC Project

Go to solution Solved by Nonco,

I would highly suggest not having a 60Hz monitor right next to a 144Hz monitor it will drive you crazy seeing the difference between the two if theyre right next to eachother

So I'm in Florida, US. I was given $7,000 specifically to spend on a PC set up. *Includes desk and Chair*

I will use the system for Gaming, Video Editing and Rendering, some 3D work. For gaming I tend to be really into simulators, racing specifically, mostly I would game on one monitor and have the two others for misc things like video editing programs and browsing and only race on all three.

I'm looking for three monitors, had my eyes set on the Acer 27' 1440p IPS G-Sync Panel but if there are better feel free to recommend them. Or two monitor set up doesn't matter as long as it can be good for both single and surround monitor gaming.

I already looked into peripherals as far as things go I even have a desk and chair chosen; DeathAdder Chroma, Corsair K95 RGB, Sennhieser PC 363D, DX Racer Gaming Chair and the Vert-Desk.

Im upgrading because for the past 5 years I've had to bear with a HP TouchSmart 320 and it doesn't even have a GPU. It is a dinosaur and I cant bear it any longer. I thought that this would be a fun project for all the PC experts on the forums to put together a redicolously overpowered multi-purpose computer.

Additional Details : X99 Platform, Red/Black Theme and please NO WATER COOLING.

Thank you, I tried to be as specific as possible. I put together a reference rig of kind of what I'm looking for but I'm sure you guys will do a way better job than me. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Vfm77P

No water cooling. Hard to reach that budget :P

I would spend $4000 on the pc/ desk and save the $3000 for later. Much better use of your money.

Maybe he's into reliability if the setup is used for serious projects that can't be maintained with water cooling.

Also, get some noctua fans man!

I would consider pumping up the PSU to the EVGA 1200W P2 for some extra headroom.

Should look at a PCIe based M.2 SSD for some additional speed, especially given content creation which will benefit greatly.

Maybe change the GPUs to the Hybrid versions given you're already got an AIO on the CPU.

I'm personally using a Phillips 40" 4K (60hz/sRGB) for CAD + gaming and it's pretty great and well priced, no GSync/FreeSync unfortunately though.

Thank you guys for all the responses, I did choose to go with the Swiftech H240 but its out of stock currently, I'm going to change most fans to noctua and replace the 1000W with 1200W. I'm still working out what monitors to go with that are all 144Hz, if anything I will toss in a third 980Ti and then I would probably consider getting watercooling but I will do everything not to, Its somehthing that I am not looking forward to always have in mind, making sure nothing is leaking and what not. It was hard to choose what comment actually solved my problem since more than 3 answered some of my questions so I wanna thank everyone again and if I get around to building this  soon I will be sure to post some pictures if any of you are still interested in what the final product looks like. :)

Swear to god if that leaks on my 5820k and Titan....

It knocked out a GTX770 SLI and an i5-4670k. Luckily Corsair bought me a new motherboard, CPU, GPU and Powersupply.
