I'm currently very close to building my pc and so far, this is what it looks like;

k3u.png

Literally, 5 minutes ago, I was looking through some 760's an came across a 4GB EVGA one http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-evga-gtx-760-pcie-30-(x16)-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-980mhz-boost-1033mhz-cores-1152-dp-dvi-hdmi

Now, I'm thinking, Is it worth losing 15% performance for £80? I mean, this will be a huge + for me because that means I can get a better SSD so since you guys are the pro's, I'll leave it to you guys. With this PC, I'll have 3 monitors in the future, even though I'll only game on one (rare occasions 3). I want to be able to max out most games for another 1.5/2 years and yeah, I believe that's it. Oh and, this is my first gaming pc build so I'm a bit scared :D

Cheers,

Venomz1337

The gtx 770 2gb would be a better choice than the gtx 760 4gb

1. You should lose the 4gb gtx 760 and grab a 2gb 770.

2. Lose the Vengeance pro memory and get a normal 8gb kit of 1600mhz vengeance ram.

3. Also, don't get the 770 with 4GB of VRAM, the gtx 770 with its 256bit memory bus can't get to 4GB of VRAM, even when your at the limits of a 770.

But I really want a 256gb SSD, It's either a 128GB SSD + 770 or 256GB SSD + 760 4GB

2. Lose the Vengeance pro memory and get a normal 8gb kit of 1600mhz vengeance ram.

A normal kit costs £3 less. This just looks a lot better.

The 770 boosts game performance while a 256gb ssd doesn't. Just save up extra a 256gb ssd can be gotten for 40 pounds more.

For a black and orange build ( i'm assuming you are going for that ) i would pick out this:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1lmJy

Damn thats one sexy orange build

But back to your question i would definatally go with the 770 since the 7950 beats out an 760.

You must have a large game library, or download a bunch of programs into your ssd instead of hdd. (you should balance out what you download on each drive.)

I have a few games on it. Most of them are 10-25gb mostly strategy games

How about a 7970? nice 3GB card that will run everything your throw at it for a good while yet?

You can get a 120GB kingston hyper X 3k SSD if you shop around, Logan at tech syndicate swears by them, the are super fast apparently.

The price goes up and down on these buggers quite a bit though, They do go down to £75 on ebuyer every so often, currently at £90.
