I have always been interested in building a pc and now finally have enough to do it. I have about €800 ($884 £566) to build one. I am mainly a gamer so want something that can run games well. I also like making and editing videos so I think Intel i7 would be a good choice of processor. Of course, the hardest part is staying within the budget! Any help would be great! Thank you!

I have 16gb of ram, and definitely reap the benefits. Although i rarely use more than 8gb of ram in premiere (I do sometimes, but my workflow might be different) but in AE you really need 16gb.

i7 for gaming is too much at your budget.  You would be sacrificing GPU performance.  Also, forget about 16GB or RAM.

i7 + R9 380?  maybe...

i5 + R9 390 is much better.

Edit:

Ok, here ya go

1080p 60fps Medium+ Settings. I sacrificed the 970 for a 960, which was able to get you what you need. But Medium+ settings only for games to maintain more than 60fps.
