So I'm going to be building my first gaming pc or as I like to call it "The Last Pc I'll Ever Need". My budget is around $1,200 USD, I can go higher but I would prefer not to. Also if anyone can suggest improvements in performance with a lower/same cost then that would be much appreciated. Another thing, what kind of games do you guys think this build can handle and at what kind of settings?

P.S: Don't include mail in rebates, I won't be using those.

If it is only for gaming I would definitely get an i5 over the i7 its just a waste. but if you are gonna be doing video editing, Photoshop I would definitely get the i7.

I would maybe consider going a bit better on your cpu cooler :/ Other than that, the build looks good

Are you overclocking?

I'm not sure if I'll be overclocking but I do want the option to do so if needed.

Well I'm going to be doing some twitch streaming as well. Do you think I'll still be fine with an i5?

Hi Maihym,

This looks like a solid build but make sure you have enough fans to keep your pc at the optimum temperature.

Also with this budget you may want to consider water-cooling.

Zac

Did you really change the color of the font? You know, I can't see anything when using the Night Theme.

The i7 4790k would be best if you're streaming.

As for cooling, the noctua ones (ugly fans) tend to do best.

CPU - FX 8350 @ 4.5GHZ GPU - Radeon 5700  Mobo - M5A99FX Pro R2.0 RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16GB @ 1600 PSU - Corsair CX600M CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO Storage - Samsung EVO 250GB, WD Blue 1TB

Ok, also do you or anyone else have any recommendations for cooling. I'm a little bit skeptical about water cooling because of the possibility of it leaking and all that.

Ok thank you, what cooler would you recommend?

If you want to overclock your cpu at all I would recommend at least a Corsair h100i dual. I have a h100i GTX and overclocked my i7 5820k form 3.3ghz to 4.2ghz, and my temps are fine.

H100i GTX: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Performance-Liquid-Cooler-CW-9060021-WW/dp/B00SV7IEJI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436205447&sr=8-1&keywords=h100i

H100i: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Extreme-Performance-Liquid-Cooler/dp/B009ZN2NH6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1436205447&sr=8-2&keywords=h100i

In my opinion, the few dollars extra for the GTX is worth it, but that's just me :)

What cooler you want can also depend if you are maybe going for a certain theme or something.

A good cpu cooler for quietness would be the Dark Rock pro 3, which you can find here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V21E0640

Also if you are really into having a matching build like I am the h100i GTX has an customizable rgb led in the front :D

I don't really care about noise, also I don't really feel comfortable about liquid cooling.
