Evenin' guys this is my first build and I would really appreciate it if y'all would proof it for me.

My budget is around 2k US though I could go higher if needed. My aim is general gaming maybe 4k in the future. Right now I'll be running this on my TV 1080p 55'' later I'll be running it on a smaller 4k. Going to wait to see how win 10 pans out before picking an os. I'm upgrading because for awhile now I've been using a dell laptop with a 650m and newer games are really giving it fits. Plus the experience of building my own seems like something really fun.

Some things I was unsure of is the i7 worth it vs the i5; if not which would you recommend? Did I go to high on my power? I was going to go with a 500 but I wanted to give a little extra room for future fans/overclocking. Speaking of fans do y'all think I can get away with refrence fans for now till I start to overclock? I went back and forth on my case choice another which caught my eye was the Antec 900. A particularly noob question I imagine but do I need to pick up some cable sets or will everything come with their own cables? Finally is the Samsung 850 evo still a great bang for the buck or are there better?

Thanks guys I really appreciate this. Sorry if I missed something really simple. :x

Maybe you would want to have a better power supply for future SLI, something like 750W.

Everything should come with the appropriate cables. In regards to the i7 vs i5 question, do you do any kind of video editing or Photoshopping?

Ohh and about the i7 don't get it unless you want to edit a lot of videos, else get a spacy hard drive with a i5.

Update: Get a CPU fan too!
