Booting with a wireless keyboard

I am helping the folks at home setting up a mac mini (late 2014) as HTPC, dual booted with windows 7.

I can't help wonder, how do people enter the boot menu with bluetooth, wireless keyboards. (ie apples keyboard, or logitech tk820)

Some wireless keyboards and mice require no drivers to run.

My Build: Phoenix

I have a Logitech K400R which I use for my HTPC and that runs without drivers.

Why is a driver not needed for these keyboards?

I guess they're designed to just work natively with OSX/Windows.

Wouldnt bluetooth products need syncing to adaptor in drivers unless they had specially designed adaptors?
