HDD or Hybrid ?

Hello everyone i am currently looking for a new hard drive mainly for games i currently using a Samsung HD400gig and is becoming too small for my game library.  I tend to like just to have all my games installed on my PC just to be able to play any game when i want but atm more than half of steam library is not installed do to low memory.

 

So my Question being will there be any benefit in going with say a Seagate Solid State Hybrid or a standard Western Digital WD Blue

 

On a side note if i go with WD what would be a good color for what i would be using the drive for mainly gaming be?

black is the best color for performance. blue is the middle ground between black and green. i would get the hybrid if you can afford it. never used one but it seems like a good deal :D

 

hybrids will also improve game load times on the games you use the most

go with the WD black, the Hybrid would only be useful for a main disk, but since you're using this as an add on drive, it won't be that helpful.

Just get some Blacks.

The different colors don't really mater between green blue and black as you will not see a performance difference.

The performance difference for hybrids is not really worth the money which is why there are not many hybrid options out there

Just get a seagate barracuda. They're as cheap as blues and perform better. They're not as good as blacks but blacks aren't worth the money anyway.

Thanks for the help guys won't be going with the hybrid in not much benefit in my use case scenario 

 

Most likely will be going with blues or Seagate 1tbs whatever is the cheapest  :P

Seems like those will suit my needs the best
