getting an ssd will speed up the entire system, loading programs will be a lot faster and such. the hardware is pretty old though. try to keep browser tabs to a minimum and try not to multitask so much.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB

you posted that reply while i was typing mine so i couldn't have known :P

that is weird and sounds like the oc isn't entirely stable. that would be my best guess.

nvm, i thought that it is unstable but i did a burn test and this looked very ok

i also changed the psu and the hdd and still i even removed the storage hdd changed the fans and heat sinks even though they were working fine and temps were ok and even changed the os i used a win xp win 8.1 win 7 ultimate 32 and 64 and even Linux still the same problem

Undo the RAM tweak.

RAM settings outside of stock can cause all sorts of odd problems.

My best guess.

Might be a power supply issue

Are you using the stock CPU cooler? Intel's Speedstep tech could be causing the CPU to throttle down if it gets too hot.

i changed the psu 3 times i used an 850watt, 1000watt, 1200watt

used 2 different aftermarket coolers and its not even getting hot at the stock one and even if i oc it with only 100mhz it gets slow

im using a test bench with no restricted air flow with 5x120mm fans surrounding the cpu it never get above 40 on the stock cooler

Do you have spare C2D CPU to test the system with?
