[kinda solved]screw without threading!

Go to solution Solved by Syntaxvgm,

all the other screws do have threads on them, it's just this one and the manual shows the others also with thread.

Would love to do that, but there aren't any nearby hardware stores(that im aware of) which are able to perform such things, the closest i can think of is are chain DIY stores and a small DIY store that offers woodcutting service's.

ah well idk what the situation is where you live bust most places here offer various screws

but as a temporary solution, if you have zip ties, thread one through, and use another to secure it on the bottom. Then get a hold of be quiet and see if they'll just send you a screw without a whole rma and whatnot.

okey, i'm currently in the progress of building my (first) own system, but when mounting the support mechanism for the Be Quiet Dark rock pro 3 i found out that one of the screws which goes into the cooler for mounting the mechanism has no threading.

So my question is, since the other 3 screws are in place, is it safe to mount the cooler without this 4th screw?

the 4th screw.

Did it come like that?  Does the manual show the screw without threads?

I wouldn't, I would find some ghetto solution, and I have bins and bins of screws.

BUT

take one of the screws to a hardware store and they'll be able to match it.

Here the stores also sell screws, but only the normal types that you find around the house(so nothing small for precision work)

But i guess i will follow your suggestion and go with a zip tie until i got answer from the be quiet help desk, thanks a lot!
