Does liking (hearting?) a video on Vessel help?

I usually mash the like button on YouTube but I've been enjoying the early access to videos on Vessel lately. 

I would like to think not.

I do it, But it is not always becouse i liked the video, It is more often becouse the video was well made.

Well it's worse when they do it in the beginning of the video.

Like; "hey, you have not seen anything of this video, But can you still like it?? thx."

Linus is like: "Hey, we made this next video that we will release if you leave enough likes on this video!"

It's already on Vessel, so it will be released anyway, whether the video is liked or not, that is terrible.
