Any Alternatives to Enthoo Primo?

runit3

After going to x2 GTX 970 G1's over my previous 580 SLI Hydro Copper 2's I've had to mount my res+pump on the exterior of my Phantom 830, and I am still craving space for my 360 & 240 rads. Next month I'm throwing in a 750 SSD + hyperkit and space/wire management is going to get even harder. I'd also like room to go push/pull on the 360x80mm...because, well...80mm  The SP120's have a hell of a time getting adequate airflow through it w/out being pinned at 2200RPM, the fan mounting brackets on the 830 also introduce a fair bit of noise due to their flimsiness.

My main question: Is there ANY case out there that can compete in the Enthoo Primo's price bracket ($230 USD) while maintaining the same size and useful space on the interior? I wish I could afford a Caselab offering, or even the 900D, but both are well north of $300 shipped. Max budget would be ~$275

Not really. The primo is better than most other in its size, including the 900d. The only ones that are really better are the caselabs cases, which are well over double or even triple the price.

I had a feeling that would be the case (oh the puns). I've loved the Enthoo Pro's I've built in, figure the trend would follow with the Primo; just making sure there's nothing else out there I'm unaware of.

Does Caselabs ever have sales?

what about the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX? Or are you looking for something bigger?

EDIT: maybe the Corsair 780T?

Unfortunately both would be too small. Evolv way too small, the 780T is -100mm x -125mm on the Primo. The G1 gaming's are beasts to manage @310mm length.

My main draw to the Primo is the space on the bottom to fit up to a 480mm rad, and ~152mm in height should allow me to push/pull with the monsta.

well, there's always the possibility of mounting the rad externally...

but other than that i think you're out of luck(sorta, as far as alternatives are concerened), the market for "super towers" is limited to the extreme water-cooling/PC building enthusiasts which is a very tiny market.

I briefly entertained the idea but the mounting surfaces available on the Phantom 830 are super flimsy at the back, and it wouldn't get adequate airflow.

Primo it is :)
