Is there a way for steam to detect my game without prompting me that my SSD doesnt have enough space?

I've transferred shogun 2 from my HDD into my SSD but the simple "install" doesnt work as the SSD lacks of space (but it already has the shogun 2 files in it)

I dont think so the only way I have been able to do this is start the download. pause it move the file and resume it. and of course it allocates the space before hand. move shogun back to the HDD, let steam start its download then exit steam move the game back to the correct location on the SSD and resume the download.ir should say something about discovering existing files.
