So while I was rustling around inside my computer....while it was on, I decided to move one of my PCIE cables that was just laying there because I removed my second GPU a week ago. I think I may have touched on of the pins inside the connector on the PCIE cable. The computer didn't turn off or anything Im just super paranoid.

Did my idiot self just damage my computer?

Im afraid I damaged something and Im scared to use the cable to plug in the GPU again. :(

I've done that while my PC was asleep. You're fine.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

If you didn't zap it then no you didn't. Just touching the pins on the pcie connectors will not damage your pc unless you had static shock and even that might not do anything, but I wouldnt go shocking you pc as it still can and will maybe damage it.

Great answer. Helped alot

Just never open your side panel while it's on, there should be a kill switch on cases that cut power when you take off the panels, would solve alot of fuckups beginners make (I killed a PC like this once, when I knew nothing about computers).
