I have adb Archer C5 v1.2, and it's pretty solid. They removed the middle antenna in V2 though.

What do ya know about the archer c5 router, the dlink ac1300 gaming router (the tube one), and the asus ac56u

 

dont know much bout routers or how to tell if one is good so if you have any experience with one of the three or all three then please let me know!

 

no good router reviews on YT :(

It's pretty hard to review a router. For the most part, the line in from your ISP will be the limiting factor. If you're struggling with losing connection throughout your property, then you may actually be better off with a okay router and an access point. I can say that the Asus AC56U is fairly good, as far as consumer routers go.

I have the asus rt-ac66u, not sure how similar it is to the ac56u, but the 66u is a pretty damn good router.

lol i live on 12 acers...

just need house coverage, it is a open home 3 bedroom type deal

right now i pay for 10mbps and i can only get p to 40mbps >:(

 

can i still use my isp modem though?

here is my story i use the built in "router" on the modem from the isp

i pay for 10mbps which i heard was a ok speed

it takes two 24 hour days to download 1 gigabyte

you probably just cringed... i do all the time i have tons of stuff i'd like to download but it is just too time consuming

so i think a router would help my problem

i have already upgraded my wifi adapter in my desktop to accept 1200 ac

 

btw i could very well be at the "end" of the "local" server line which i would hope shouldn't matter.

The linksys wrt54g is the best router ever. They made a newer one which is bad but the old one is amazing. You can even put linux on it
