So I've been building my first pc and after it booted up, I installed windows 7 64bit. I downloaded the appropriate drivers and turned my pc off, however when I went to turn it back on again 5 mins later the system powered up but nothing appeared on screen. I am a total noob when it comes to this so i will list any of my observations that might be important along with my specs

Specs

Asus r9 290

4x2 ddr3 1600mhz ram

3tb sea gate hdd

Intel i5 4590

Msi z97 gaming 3 mobo

Zalman z11 plus case

Asus optical drive

Observations

The red light for the hard drive flashes on and off very fast and somtimes is off for long periods of time

The speed of my fans when the pc was working appeared to be at full speed and was very loud however right now they are either very quiet or slightly loud (if that's a thing)

I've gave everything a quick check to make sure it's all plugged in correctly

I changed monitor just to make sure it wasn't a problem with the screen

( I tried unplugging everything and holding down the power button for a while to discharge the rest of the energy and plugging it all back in again and it worked for a while then stopped displaying anything on screen again)

I would greatly appreciate anyone that might be able to help me out
