No video output R9 390X

Rabald

hello guys

So i am upgrading the pc from a friend of mine. The PC is an MEDION ERAZER.

I ''replaced'' his old gtx 570 with a R9 390X, but thats where all the problems start.

When I turn the PC on everything starts ( = all fans start turning), but I have no video output, so i tryed the R9 390X on my system and it worked fine.

So what I was thinking: the motherboard doesn't recognize the GPU.

I updated the BIOS with this one http://www.medion.com/gb/service/_lightbox/treiber_details.php?did=10212&hgt=13887

But after the update there is still no video output... Did I flash the bios with the wrong/ not the newest one? Am i missing something?

Everything works fine after I place the GTX 570 back in.

Motherboard : medion MS-7667 v2.2

It got an P67 chipset and has an i7 2700k as CPU.

Any help would be appreciated.

Need full specs. In particular:

What power supply does it have?

Sig under construction.

you better not be using that thing with less than a 500W PSU.

My Main Build: NZXT S340 - NZXT Kraken X31 - Crucial MX100 256GB - i5 4460 - Gigabyte Z97P D3 - Kingston HyperX Red 8GB - MSI Nvidia GTX 780 3GB - Corsair LL & HD RGB Fans, Corsair Lighting Node Pro.

The thing is the motherboard has no VGA or HDMI port so I have to keep the GTX 570 in the system or my R9 390X

But i have no video out on my R9 390X. Cant even see the start screen from my bios.

Can you uninstall geforce and install catalyst with the 570, and then switch them out? Create a restore point before you do so.

Okay i will try that, see if that works

Just deleted the drivers of the gtx 570 and installed the catalyst drivers, still no video output...

If your system supports the 390x then I would think that your friends system cannot support the 390x

What do you suggest then? New LGA 1155 motherboard ( they are starting really hard to find in my country) or i5 4690 and new motherboard?

I would think that ,,to have an upgrade of processor and motherboard will be worth it for the 390x
