Get used to the keyboard. I don't see us outgrowing it anytime soon.

I've never heard of that brand before, but I'd be a hypocrite to tell you to not try it based on that, as I've tried odd brands in the past with decent success. The question comes down to whether you think with will help you have a more enjoyable experience than a standard controller, and if you think it's worth the price? Why not just use a standard controller if that's what you're used to? They tend to be cheaper than these kinds of products, too.

If you hate the keyboard just use a controller...

Much cheaper than the 90 dollars that costs...

FWIW, you can hook up your ps3 controller to the PC by using a usb port. You can then download motionjoy and assign all your keys and you will be set...

I believe BF3 supports controllers but, I am not sure...

and no, I don't think it will help you all that much.

That makes more sense, then. I usually just use my controller for platforming-type games or action games, so I wasn't aware how slow it was compared to a mouse in terms of turning. I could be wrong, but did you try to find a setting where you could adjust the sensitivity of the right analog stick? I know it can get really high for some games, so you might be able to change that.

Other than that, I think you should just try to get used to a keyboard. I played console games all up until just recently, with some PC gaming, and I sucked with the mouse/keyboard at first. Now I'm not that bad, but still use a controller for select games.

on Consoles we got aim assist but on PC we don't. Playing with a controller is still playable and fun but going against good players i wouldn't stand a chance.

Fair enough. All I can say is that if you think that kit above will help you, the only way to find out is to try it. Alternatively, like what Maskot posted above, check out keypads with an analogue stick on them like the Nostromo or the Orbweaver. There are others, but those are the only ones I can think of this early in the morning.

NO. I thought this would help me switching to pc games. It does not. I actually switched back to the keyboard. Getting used to the keyboard isn't that hard. it takes a little while. But once you get it down you actually prefer the keyboard and mouse over anything else. And I've been playing on Cole WAY longer than PC.

Seriously man, just give the keyboard and mouse a little more time. It will save you money, plus It is the best controller

Just keep using the keyboard, you'll get used to it no problem. I personally can't game on anything else. :P

im trying but its just too many keys LOL! the Nostromo looks simple for me, maybe i should give this a try

You're only using around 8 keys during a FPS anyway. I wouldn't get the nostromo, I think it's a waste of money.

Just stay with the keyboard for another 2 weeks and then think of switching.

Too many keys is you problem? No, problem is that you have been using 3 fingers on controller and now you have to get used to use all five fingers.

Few examples:

Thumb - no more moving. Its used only for hitting spacebar (jump in most cases)

Index finger - 9+ key range. Main use is to strafe right (D), enter/lean right (E), reload ® and use VOIP (C,V). Other things are changing to special weapon (F), more guns (4,5), misc commands (G,T)

Middle finger -  3-6+ key range. In my use moving backward/forward (W,S), changing guns (2,3)

Ring finger - 5+ key range. Moving left (A), spotting/lean left (Q), one more gun/knife (1), prone (<> left from Z), map (caps), scoreboard (TAB)

Pinky - 2-3 keys for me. Crouch (Ctrl), sprint/steady scope (Shift), second for prone.

For me moving from away from all the keys is like where the hell they are fitted in controller.

Don't buy any of this.

You'll get used to it after a while. It's really not that many keys to remember. You only use about 8-9 keys, and 2 or 3 at a time.

If you want to get into pc gaming, you'll have to use the keyboard.

When you buy something like this, you'll have to get used to the keyboard eventually anyway.

In my opinion, just use the keyboard as much as possible. It doesn't matter if you're not doing as well as other pc games who have played with a keyboard for many years. It is to be expected. But eventually you'll get used to using a keyboard and you won't regret not buying other products.

Do not try such controllers as a substitution for the keyboard. You need to get used to a keyboard, there's no way around it. Sure, it might take a while to get used to, but it's a necessity. Just practice hitting all the necessary keys for a bit before trying to do it while playing a game.

The nostromo IS a keybaord. It's just cutting out the right side of the keyboard. Plus the Nostromo Keys are really mushy and just don't feel right when you push them down. I actually Used my nostromo for a few weeks. Then I Ditched it entirely because the keyboard has more keys to push, plus the keys feel better when you push them.  Then About a month or two of not using it, I sold it on ebay.

Can I ask what keyboard your using? Maybe just spend some money on a quality keyboard and you'll actually like it better.
