Which solution should I try?

Power line never worked for me. It cuts out every single day. Should I get an AC wifi card or try to run a line so I can hook up my router directly to my computer? I don't know what else to do. I'm very frustrated because something as simple as my internet wont work.

Is the distance greater than 100m, and/or obtrusive to the surrounding area?

 

If yes  to either - Wi-Fi card, preferably PCIe (and only AC if your router supports it)

 

If no to both (or you don't care about obstructions) - run a patch cable
