So 3Dmark has just come out. This was really exciting for me simply because this seems to be all of the 3D Mark rolled into one giant benchmarking program.

Another thing that made me really nicley surprise is that the extreme pre-set is actually made for extreme systems. I mean I ran it and it basically made my frames drop to sub 10 and heated my gpu up like a burn in would. Now that is amazing.

I will be doing a full-review video of it tomorrow showing off all the features because that is how excited I am about it.

Woah. Just ran it... It actually found my video card OC wasn't stable. I've been having issues with my 7870 for a week now...Black Screen of Death. Anyway here's my results.

3570k@4.7Ghz

7870@1181/1302

Ice Storm: 184,472 (Graphics 326,716) (Physics 73,093)

Cloud Gate: 18,581 (Graphics 40,101) (Physics 6,456)

Fire Strike: 5,349 (Graphics 5,952) (Physics 8,966)

I'm on 13.2beta 4. Always the latest :P I should prolly go back to 12.11, wasn't having my black screen of death issue then.

12.100017.0 is 13.2 beta. Its just the driver version not the software version.

I could go to 1.05GHz but I had instability before which was not due to the GPU in any way. So I guess I could try going back up again.

I haven't touched the voltage and its at 70C so I'm not trying harder really.

No need to mess around with the voltage, just use the highest clock you can on stock voltage.

problem? can u find a proc that cost USD150 and have the same processing power as 3770/3770k? :D

not to mention the board only cost around USD90

best all rounder system i could get. :P
