If its for your boot drive then this is the best order of performance: SSD, SSHD, then the WD black drive.

If its for storage then just get the WD black drive

I'm wondering whether it is best to get a sshd or a western digital black drive?

 

I need help!

Best options are:

 

SSD + sshd

 

ssd + barracuda/caviar blue

 

Just sshd

No, just get a seagate barracuda or caviar blue for storage.

Get a momentus xt if you really need speed.

I would get the WD Black/ Seagate Barracuda as your drive. Personally like Barracuda drives because they are cheaper but they only offer 3 years but it depends whether its OEM or not and WD Black offers 5 years. Heard that the WD Black runs very hot.
