SO I will have 600$ to work with coming up soon, I do stream MMO games, and have various things open and running while I stream.

My current setup is a fx-6300 (not overclocked)

gtx 650ti boost

12 gigs 1600mghz ram

500watt psu

some plain MOBO nothing fancy

decent case (all parts are now 2 years old)

I also have 2 monitors I use, 27inch and a 24inch

I was thinking of a I5 2500K build...or a fx-8350 build .... bare in mind...still with the 600$ budget

Im not the best at finding the parts, and getting them to jive, but I can and do put together everything with no issues.

Sooooooooooo... what can I get, I am open to all builds, maybe have a WHY should I go with your build, if you accept the challenge. :-)

Do you already have those parts or are you planning to buy them?

you can swap out the CPU, mobo and GPU if you want to.

i don't know if a 500w PSU could handle a 970. for the CPU, you can get an i5 4690 and a decent mobo and go find a GPU within the budget.

thanks for the replies so far, yes the parts I listed above is my current pc I am using, was hoping to do a whole new build, any way that a I5 2500K build is possible, or an fx 8350? Do not know much about the cpu's listed so far.

The 2500K is an old CPU, for the same price you can get a better, newer i5. The 8350 is a great CPU for streaming and rendering, but that's it, for gaming it is horrible. Also the AM3+ chipset is dying.

thank you MrChavelo , so I guess Im looking for the happy medium, I wish I had more $$, but it is what it is. Anyway to do a I5 4690k build for 600$, Or is there a comparable cpu to the I5 4690K, that would fit in a build for 600$?

The 4690k is a really good CPU

If I were you, I would get this and overclock the CPU:

As long as the 500W PSU is a good one then this update by @MrChavelo is good. :) If the PSU is somewhat questionable then I suggest getting a cheaper motherboard then using the savings on a new more reliable PSU. The PSU is the MOST important component of a PC, it can kill your system if its shady but investing in a good one will last a long time and entails savings and peace of mind.

Also by the way a locked i5 is still a good option and will last you a long time then you can add that to your video card budget ^_^
