so im bidding on ebay for an ASUS KGPE-D16 SSI

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Commercial_Servers_Workstations/KGPED16/

Assuming i get the board im looking to get two 12 core or 16 core chips

This will be a file server firewall minecraft server etc all in one, it will also manage 3 security cameras.

What i am stuck on is which generation opterons i should get.

My options so far: opteron 6172 12 core but its 2010 year (under 100 for two)

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/151657673560?_trksid=p2060353.m2763.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Would this be okay or should i be looking at the 62** series instead (2012 year) for about 100$ each

Any comments saying dont buy used, i will ignore them.

Thx for the help

It should be pretty decent for what you intend... Not to mention at a pretty low cost, too!  :P
