you can download Razer Game booster. and replace your CPU thermal paste

Depends on the laptop.. If you can give the model we may be able to help some.. Budget would help too.

 

Usually the only things you can do is to add ram and replace the storage (HDD in 99% of laptops) with a SSD.

Both of which should help but it may not be worth doing from a financial point.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Ooof.. You could get some more ram for it or an ssd but really thats low end and probably not worth the investment..

 

The only other thing free that you could try re-installing windows while leaving out any bloat or apps you don't use.

Might give it a bit of a refresh. Just be sure you know your license key first.
